Hypnotherapy in Newcastle & Tea Gardens
I have spent over thirty years in health and wellness, and I see people one to one in my own rooms at Lambton. Quitting is my specialty, and a good deal of the rest of my week is weight, anxiety, sleep and confidence.
Start with a free consultation. Tell me where you are up to, and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person to help.

I am a clinical hypnotherapist, a certified NLP practitioner and a certified Reiki practitioner, and my diploma covered life coaching and counselling modules alongside the hypnotherapy. I am not a psychologist, a psychiatrist, a counsellor or a doctor, and I will tell you when one of them is the right person instead.
Thirty years in health and wellness came first, and hypnotherapy came out of watching how much of what people wanted to change sat below the level of good intentions.
What I do is about getting a result rather than talk therapy, and I do not take counselling clients. Where somebody needs to be talked with over months, that is somebody else's work and I say so on the phone.
The part I enjoy most is that people arrive expecting it to be strange and leave saying it was ordinary. Most are apprehensive or even sceptical when they walk in, and I would far rather that than someone pretending.
The question I am asked most on the phone
A relaxed, focused state, a bit like being deeply absorbed in something. In that state the mind is more receptive to suggestions that fit with what you already want for yourself.
You remain fully aware throughout. You hear everything I say, you can talk to me, and you can bring yourself out of it whenever you like.
Hypnosis is used these days in dentistry, in medicine, in law enforcement, in professional sport and in education, alongside therapeutic work like mine.
One to one, in my own rooms, with nobody else in the building who needs to know

First
I listen for the pattern underneath what you tell me. Denise put it in her review better than I would have: skilled at listening for what is not said.
Then
You settle back in the chair and I guide you into that relaxed, focused state. You hear every word I say, you can talk to me, and you can bring yourself out of it whenever you like.
Last
What tends to set the old pattern off, what you might do instead, and whether coming again would help. I would rather send you somewhere better suited than keep you booked in with me.

Hypnotherapy does not do the hard work for you. You play an active part in it, and when it goes well we have achieved it together. That is not modesty. It is the most useful thing I know about this work, and my clients say it back to me in their own reviews.
Hypnotherapy is not something that is done to you. You play an active part in it, and it takes determination and commitment on your behalf. When it goes well, we have achieved that together, and the part you played in it is a real one.
All you need is an open mind, to be able to follow simple instructions and want the change for yourself, not because someone else wants the change.
It is one practitioner, private rooms, no group programs and no waiting room full of other people. That suits some people and not others, and it is worth knowing before you ring.
People often read about Contact Your Hypnotherapist in Newcastle alongside it, and the front page of my site is where everything else sits.

I see people one to one, in my own rooms at Lambton. Quitting smoking and vaping is my specialty and I see hundreds of people a year for it. Most of them are apprehensive or even sceptical when they arrive, and I would far rather you were honest with me about that than pretending.
I am a clinical hypnotherapist, a certified NLP practitioner, a certified Reiki practitioner, a certified weight management coach for the virtual gastric band and a certified quit smoking specialist.
No, and I do not take counselling clients. What I do sits alongside talk therapy rather than replacing it, and I will say when your doctor is the right person.
I have been in health and wellness for over thirty years.
No. Everything I do is one to one, in private rooms.
I do, with a parent or guardian involved. Ring me and tell me the situation and we can work out whether it is the right time for them.
Quitting smoking and vaping, weight, anxiety and sleep, in that order.
Suite 5, 115 Elder Street, Lambton NSW 2299, and I also see people at Tea Gardens.
No. Medicare doesn't cover hypnotherapy, and it can't be claimed on a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Whether your private health fund pays anything back depends on your fund and your extras cover, so it's worth checking with them before you book. If you'd like to talk it through first, book a free phone call with me.

The consultation is free. Pick a time in my calendar and tell me where you are up to, and if I do not think I can help you I will say so.
Pick a day and time that suits you, and I will call you then.
