Hypnotherapy in Newcastle & Tea Gardens
If you have tried to stop before and it did not hold, you are not alone, and it was never a lack of willpower. Habits live in the subconscious mind, and that is the part I work with.
Start with a free consultation. Tell me where you are up to, and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person to help.

Quit vaping hypnotherapy with me is one appointment, one to one, in my rooms at Lambton, Tea Gardens or online. Together we look at the habit, the triggers and associations sitting underneath it, in a relaxed and focused state where the subconscious mind is more open to change. It's deeply relaxing and highly effective.
Your subconscious mind is designed to keep you safe and to conserve energy, so it prefers what is familiar, even when you consciously want something different. When you set out to stop on willpower alone, you are pushing against tiredness, doubt, emotional triggers and a habit that has been learned over years. Over time, that can feel exhausting.
A vape also comes everywhere with you, so the habit tends to attach itself to more of your day than a cigarette break ever did: the desk, the car, the lounge, the last thing at night. There was rarely a moment where you decided, which is why willpower has so little to push against.
None of that is a personal failure. It is simply how the mind works, and it is the reason I work at the subconscious level rather than at the level of the decision.
The question I am asked most on the phone
A relaxed, focused state, a bit like being deeply absorbed in something. In that state the mind is more receptive to suggestions that fit with what you already want for yourself.
You remain fully aware throughout. You hear everything I say, you can talk to me, and you can bring yourself out of it whenever you like.
Hypnosis is used these days in dentistry, in medicine, in law enforcement, in professional sport and in education, alongside therapeutic work like mine.
One appointment, one to one, in my own rooms or online

First
When you started, what is hypnosis and what it’s not, find strategies to implement in the session for times that may test you, explain about the part of your mind that is storing the habit and how we use its language to create a new, healthy habit.
Then
You settle back in the chair and I guide you into that relaxed, focused state. You hear every word I say, you can talk to me, and you can stop whenever you want to.
Last
You get the pleasure of throwing your vape in the bin and say goodbye forever!

If the habit comes back at any point, you come back to me for your free session where we will do parts therapy to get the part of you that still wants to smoke onboard with the rest of you.
Hypnotherapy is not something that is done to you. You play an active part in it, and it takes determination and commitment on your behalf. When it goes well, we have achieved that together, and the part you played in it is a real one.
All you need is an open mind, to be able to follow simple instructions and want the change for yourself, not because someone else wants the change.
People come to me about vaping and we frequently find ourselves talking about stress, or sleep, or the pressure they have been carrying, because a vape is very often doing a job for them somewhere else in their life.
I have worked in health and wellness for over thirty years and sometimes I end up working with the whole person, rather than one habit in isolation. If you feel like you’re self medicating with the vape, let’s have a chat about that too.
There is a page on Quit Cannabis Hypnotherapy in Newcastle too, and the whole list of what I work with has the rest of it.

Owner of Holistic Health Hypnotherapy
I see clients one to one in my rooms in Lambton and online. Quitting vaping and smoking is my specialty and I see hundreds of people a year for it. Most of them are excited to quit after we have an initial call on the phone, and by the time they arrive for their appointment, they are apprehensive or even sceptical. That mixture of excitement and nervousness is totally normal.
We work on the habit itself rather than on the device, so it does not matter which one it was attached to. Do tell me on the phone if you smoked before you vaped, because it changes what I do in the session.
Most people I see for this come once. Jackson, whose words are above, came twice, and that is perfectly fine too. Your backup session is free either way.
I will send you some pre-session preparation and one of the things I will ask you is to try to cut back. Try to leave your vape at home sometimes, or leave it in the lounge room at night instead of under your pillow. Mainly to start to prepare your mind for a new habit.
You remain fully aware and in control the whole time. You hear everything, you can speak, and you can bring yourself out of it whenever you like.
Most of the people I see arrive apprehensive or even sceptical. All you need to do is take on the suggestions as if they were true, using your imagination and feelings. It does not get in the way.
I do see young people, with a parent or guardian involved. Ring me and tell me the situation and we can work out whether it is the right time for them.
Suite 5, 115 Elder Street, Lambton NSW 2299, and I also see people at Tea Gardens and online.
No. Medicare doesn't cover hypnotherapy, and it can't be claimed on a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Whether your private health fund pays anything back depends on your fund and your extras cover, so it's worth checking with them before you book. If you'd like to talk it through first, book a free phone call with me.

The phone consultation is free. It’s the best way to find out if this is the right solution for you.
