Hypnotherapy in Newcastle & Tea Gardens
If the same thing keeps happening and you cannot see why, you are not alone, and it is not a fault in your character. Patterns usually start somewhere, and that somewhere is often further back than we expect.
Start with a free consultation. Tell me where you are up to, and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person to help.

Regression work with me is one to one, in my rooms at Lambton or at Tea Gardens. In a relaxed and focused state we follow a feeling back to where your mind first learned it, and we work on it there rather than on what it has grown into.
A belief formed early is rarely revisited. It was true enough at the time, it went in quickly, and from then on your mind has been filing everything that happens under the heading it already had.
So the situation changes, the people change, and the feeling arrives exactly the same, which is the part that makes people wonder what is wrong with them. Nothing is. Your mind is being consistent.
None of that is a personal failure. It is simply how the mind works, and it is the reason we go back to where it was set rather than argue with it now.
The question I am asked most on the phone
A relaxed, focused state, a bit like being deeply absorbed in something. In that state the mind is more receptive to suggestions that fit with what you already want for yourself.
You remain fully aware throughout. You hear everything I say, you can talk to me, and you can bring yourself out of it whenever you like.
Hypnosis is used these days in dentistry, in medicine, in law enforcement, in professional sport and in education, alongside therapeutic work like mine.
One to one, in my own rooms, and you stay in charge of the pace

First
The pattern you keep meeting, when you first remember it, and what you would like to be different. You do not need to know where it started. Finding that is my part of the work.
Then
In that relaxed, focused state we follow the feeling rather than the story, which is usually how the earlier moment turns up. Joanna, whose words are below, has written publicly about going back and changing what she said and did there.
Last
We take time at the end so you are steady before you drive home, and we talk about what may feel different in the weeks after and whether coming again would help.

You will not be handed a memory you did not have, and I have no interest in putting one there. What tends to come up is something you knew about and had not connected to this. If nothing comes, that is also common, and we work another way instead.
Hypnotherapy is not something that is done to you. You play an active part in it, and it takes determination and commitment on your behalf. When it goes well, we have achieved that together, and the part you played in it is a real one.
All you need is an open mind, to be able to follow simple instructions and want the change for yourself, not because someone else wants the change.
People come to me about one thing and we frequently find ourselves talking about sleep, or stress, or grief, or a stretch of life that got very heavy, because these things rarely sit on their own.
I have worked in health and wellness for over thirty years and I work with the whole person rather than with one symptom in isolation. If there is something else going on for you, bring it with you and we will look at it together.
People often read about Trauma Hypnotherapy in Newcastle alongside it, and what I do more broadly is where everything else sits.

Owner of Holistic Health Hypnotherapy
I see people one to one, in my own rooms at Lambton. My diploma covered clinical hypnotherapy, NLP, life coaching and counselling modules, and I have spent over thirty years in health and wellness. I am not a psychologist or a counsellor, and where your doctor is the right person I will tell you so.
No. A good deal of the work happens through the feeling rather than through a clear memory, and people are often surprised by how little detail is needed.
The work I do is with this life, and with the moments in it where a belief was set. If you ask me for something else I will tell you honestly it is not what I offer.
That is a fair concern and I take it seriously. I do not lead you towards a story, and nothing that surfaces is treated as a fact about the world rather than as something your mind is holding.
Between one and four, depending on what we find. We talk about that at your consultation.
You remain fully aware and in control the whole time. You hear everything, you can speak, and you can bring yourself out of it whenever you like.
That is allowed, and it is not a problem for me. We take the time we need at the end so you leave steady.

No. Medicare doesn't cover hypnotherapy, and it can't be claimed on a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Whether your private health fund pays anything back depends on your fund and your extras cover, so it's worth checking with them before you book. If you'd like to talk it through first, book a free phone call with me.
These are independent Australian health and professional bodies. They are not connected to this practice and they do not endorse it.
The consultation is free. Pick a time in my calendar and tell me where you are up to, and if I do not think I can help you I will say so.
Pick a day and time that suits you, and I will call you then.
