Hypnotherapy in Newcastle & Tea Gardens
If you are worn out rather than unwell, and you would like an hour where nothing is asked of you, this is the gentlest thing I offer. You lie down fully clothed and I do the work.
Ring me and tell me what you are after. If Reiki is not the right thing for you I will say so. The first conversation is free.

I offer Reiki in my rooms at Lambton and in Tea Gardens. It is a gentle practice from Japan: you lie fully clothed on a treatment table and I rest my hands lightly on or just above you, working through a sequence of positions. It also works from a distance and incorporated during the hypnosis session. It sits alongside your medical care and hypnosis, rather than in place of it. Feel free to decline this powerful healing modality if you wish to only receive hypnotherapy.
Rest, mostly. Recovery after a hard stretch, or the flat feeling that follows a long run of stress. I have found myself using it for pain with clients who were having trouble relaxing into the hypnosis due to pain. Some clients book it between hypnotherapy sessions, some receive it during the hypnotherapy and others book it on its own.
You do not need to believe anything in particular for it to be worth doing, and you will not be asked to. Lying still for an hour while somebody attends to you is not something most people give themselves.
I have worked in health and wellness for over thirty years and I am a certified Reiki practitioner. What I will not do is tell you it treats an illness, because that is your doctor's work.
The question I am asked most on the phone
A gentle practice that came out of Japan in 1922 by Mikao Usui. You lie fully clothed on a treatment table and I rest my hands lightly on or just above you, working through a sequence of positions channeling energy.
A beautiful sense of calm, stillness and relaxation afterwards are what clients describe to me most. Some experience warmth and tingling, others have an emotional release or a sense of clarity. Some fall asleep, which I take as a compliment.
It is a relaxation practice that sits alongside your hypnotherapy and medical care rather than in place of it.
One to one, in my own rooms, fully clothed on a treatment table

First
What has been going on, what you are hoping for, and anything I should know about your health. This is also where I tell you honestly if I think something else would serve you better.
Then
You stay fully clothed under a blanket while I work through the hand positions, resting lightly or hovering just above. There is no massage and nothing is manipulated.
Last
People are often slower afterwards than they expect, so we take a moment before you drive. I will tell you what I noticed and hear how it was for you.

Hypnotherapy is not something that is done to you. You play an active part in it, and it takes determination and commitment on your behalf. When it goes well, we have achieved that together, and the part you played in it is a real one.
All you need is an open mind, to be able to follow simple instructions and want the change for yourself, not because someone else wants the change.
If you are not sure which suits you, ring me and we will work it out on the phone.
The pages under this one say what each piece of work involves: distance Reiki from Newcastle. If you are not sure which fits, the rest of what I do is the place to start.

Owner of Holistic Health Hypnotherapy
I see people one to one, in my own rooms at Lambton, and I am a certified Reiki practitioner as well as a clinical hypnotherapist. I have spent over thirty years in health and wellness. Some clients have Reiki on its own and others have it between hypnotherapy sessions.
The energy work I do is Reiki, so on my pages they mean the same thing. I would rather say that plainly than let the two sound like separate services.
Not at all, and you will not be asked to. Come and see how you find it.
Yes, and some clients have Reiki between their hypnotherapy sessions. We can talk about what suits you.
You stay fully clothed the whole time. Wear something comfortable.
Lightly, on or just above the body, in set positions. Tell me if you would rather I kept my hands hovering only, and that is perfectly fine.
It is a relaxation practice and it sits alongside your medical care rather than in place of it. Anything medical belongs with your doctor.
Some people come once and others monthly. Ask me at your first session and I will give you my honest view rather than a package.
Yes. I offer distance Reiki anywhere in Australia or overseas, and there is a page on it here.
A good many people do, and I take it as a compliment rather than a problem.
Suite 5, 115 Elder Street, Lambton NSW 2299, and I also see people at Tea Gardens.
No. Medicare doesn't cover hypnotherapy, and it can't be claimed on a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Whether your private health fund pays anything back depends on your fund and your extras cover, so it's worth checking with them before you book. If you'd like to talk it through first, book a free phone call with me.
These are independent Australian health and professional bodies. They are not connected to this practice and they do not endorse it.
The consultation is free. Pick a time in my calendar and tell me where you are up to, and if I do not think I can help you I will say so.
Pick a day and time that suits you, and I will call you then.
