Hypnotherapy in Newcastle & Tea Gardens
If you have read the books, made the plan and still ended up where you started, you are not alone, and it does not mean you lacked commitment. A plan is made by one part of the mind and lived out by another.
Start with a free consultation. Tell me where you are up to, and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person to help.

Coaching with me is one to one, in my rooms at Lambton or at Tea Gardens. My diploma training covers NLP and Life Coaching alongside Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy, so we work on the plan and on the belief underneath it all intertwined in the same appointments.
Most people who come to me already know what they would like to be different. What stops them is not information, and another plan on top of the last one usually changes nothing.
Your subconscious mind prefers what is familiar, because familiar is how it judges something to be safe. If the old way of living is what it knows, it will keep quietly steering you back to it however good the plan was.
None of that is a personal failure. It is simply how the mind works, and it is why we do the coaching and the hypnosis together rather than one without the other.
The question I am asked most on the phone
A relaxed, focused state, a bit like being deeply absorbed in something. In that state the mind is more receptive to suggestions that fit with what you already want for yourself.
You remain fully aware throughout. You hear everything I say, you can talk to me, and you can bring yourself out of it whenever you like.
Hypnosis is used these days in dentistry, in medicine, in law enforcement, in professional sport and in education, alongside therapeutic work like mine.
One to one, in my own rooms, usually across a several appointments

First
Where you are, what you would like instead, what you have already tried, and what tends to happen when you get close. I am listening for the pattern underneath what you tell me.
Then
You settle back in the chair and I guide you into that relaxed, focused state, and we work on the belief that has been steering you. You hear every word I say and you can stop whenever you want to.
Last
Something small enough that you will actually do it, what tends to knock you off it, and what we work on when you next come in. Joanna, whose words are below, spent her third session on exactly this.

All you need is an open mind, to be able to follow simple instructions and want the change for yourself, not because someone else wants the change for you.
Hypnotherapy is not something that is done to you. You play an active part in it, and it takes determination and commitment on your behalf. When it goes well, we have achieved that together, and the part you played in it is a real one.

If none of those is quite it, ring me anyway. I have worked in health and wellness for over thirty years and I work with the whole person rather than with one goal in isolation.
The pages under this one say what each piece of work involves: NLP coaching in Newcastle, confidence coaching in Newcastle, performance hypnotherapy in Newcastle and hypnotherapy for habits in Newcastle. If you are not sure which fits, Hypnotherapy in Newcastle is the place to start.

Owner of Holistic Health Hypnotherapy
I see people one to one, in my own rooms at Lambton. My diploma covered clinical hypnotherapy, NLP, life coaching and counselling modules, and I have spent over thirty years in health and wellness. I am not a psychologist or a counsellor, and where your doctor is the right person I will tell you so.
Most coaching works with the part of you that already agrees. We also work with the part that has been quietly steering you back, which is where the hypnosis comes in.
Three or four for most of the people I see for this. We talk about that at your consultation rather than committing you to a number up front.
No. A good many people arrive knowing only that something has to change, and working out what is part of the first session.
No. I am a clinical hypnotherapist and I do not take counselling clients. What I do sits alongside talk therapy rather than replacing it.
You remain fully aware and in control the whole time. You hear everything, you can speak, and you can bring yourself out of it whenever you like.
I do. Justine, whose words are above, wrote about shifting an old story she had been telling herself about earning money.
Suite 5, 115 Elder Street, Lambton NSW 2299, and I also see people at Tea Gardens.
No. Medicare doesn't cover hypnotherapy, and it can't be claimed on a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Whether your private health fund pays anything back depends on your fund and your extras cover, so it's worth checking with them before you book. If you'd like to talk it through first, book a free phone call with me.
These are independent Australian health and professional bodies. They are not connected to this practice and they do not endorse it.
The consultation is free. Pick a time in my calendar and tell me where you are up to, and if I do not think I can help you I will say so.
Pick a day and time that suits you, and I will call you then.
